• A: Famed 19th-century author Charles Dickens created the character Nigel Fezziwig as a counterweight to protagonist Ebenezer Scrooge in the timeless novel A Christmas Carol. Fezziwig was young Scrooge’s trainer, manager, and mentor in business. Though a successful businessman, Fezziwig embodied playfulness, fun, unjudging generosity, and love – all tenets of abiding happiness that Scrooge forsakes, at least consciously, as he ages. For Scrooge – for us – Fezziwig is a beacon of light, goodness, laughter, and heartwarming kindness. Fezziwig is very much in the world, but not of the world. Fezziwig is realist enough to achieve earthly goals, yet powerful enough a dreamer to stir Scrooge’s soul. Ultimately, we chose “Fezziwig” as the name for our foundation because the character warms peoples’ hearts, just as we aspire to do.

  • A: Keep an eye on the Fezziwig website, particularly the Client Organizations and Productions pages, to see what’s in the works. If you see invitations to audition or somehow participate as an artist, give it a try! If you prefer more of a behind-the-scenes role, please reach out to us or our client organization with an offer to assist. Performing and fine arts always need volunteers!

  • A: Yes, we would love to consider supporting you! We do have a couple of important stipulations, however. First and foremost, any project we consider must be clearly consistent with our mission: to warm the hearts of our community by enabling Christian-oriented performing arts, visual arts, and related endeavors. Second, we require a detailed project plan, including your purpose and vision for the work, your desired outcomes, a detailed budget, and your plans for fundraising. It is very unlikely we will agree to serve as your only financial backer, so a careful description of your cash flow strategy is vital. Third, we are based in Gwinnett County, Georgia – north metro Atlanta is our “community.” As such, our preference is to engage artists in reasonably close geographic proximity to us.

  • A: To consistently achieve our mission of warming hearts in this community by enabling Christian-oriented performing arts, visual arts, and related endeavors. More tangibly, we aspire to operate out of our own multipurpose facility, allowing us to host and/or produce simultaneous artistic endeavors and community outreach activities.
